SUPPORT CHILDREN AT ST. JOSEPH’S VILLA WHILE ENTERTAINING YOUR KIDS

TOYconomy is donating part of all proceeds to the Villa for the rest of the year with every toy rental order

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – October 21, 2010 – Online toy rental company TOYconomy (www.TOYconomy.com) and St. Joseph’s Villa (www.NeverStopBelieving.org) have teamed up to provide support to more than 500 children and their families in the Richmond, VA community. This new charity drive is geared towards providing funds and items for many homeless and at-risk youths in the area and to encourage a better education and lifestyle for them.

TOYconomy is an online toy rental store that first opened its virtual doors online in May 2010, when a local Richmond mother of three knew that something had to be done to reduce toy clutter, save resources, and save money on buying countless number of toys for children. The store has since partnered with St. Joseph’s Villa in order to put TOYconomy’s rental proceeds to good use by directly benefiting those who need it the most – at-risk children and families.

“We are constantly looking for ways to support good causes, especially for children. This partnership is ideal for TOYconomy and many moms and dads have shown their support for the program,” said Founder and President, Shannon McAfee.

TOYconomy will donate 5% off all rental proceeds through March 2011 to St. Joseph’s Villa for the last quarter of 2010 and the first quarter of 2011. These donations will begin just in time for the holiday season and later will help support summer programs at the Villa.

“We are delighted to partner with TOYconomy in our efforts to help children.  For more than 175 years, St. Joseph’s Villa has served the neediest children in our community, and we cannot do this important work without the support of individuals and organizations such as TOYconomy,” comments David Huffine, Vice President for Financial Development for St. Joseph’s Villa. “We welcome them into the Villa family.”

TOYconomy currently has a program that encourages customers to submit a wish list through the website for items they would like to rent for the holiday season. The management at TOYconomy has extended this wish list to include St. Joseph’s Villa and is working on a separate program to provide many of these wish list items to the Villa as gifts for Christmas.

“We are confident that we will have great success with this program and we look to the support of all our customers. We hope to extend this program to many more nonprofit organizations in 2011,” comments Mrs. McAfee.

DISCOVER THE BEST WAY TO GET NEW TOYS FOR YOUR KIDS

Safe, clean, and affordable toy rental so you can test before you buy

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – Sept 16, 2010 – TOYconomy (www.TOYconomy.com), an online toy leasing store, premiers a brand new, user-friendly shopping website design, as well as lots of new additions to its online catalogue. Originally established virtually in April 2010, founder and President Shannon McAfee was dedicated to finding a way where parents like herself can reuse, recycle and reduce clutter, while providing the education and entertainment their children needed during each stage of their development.

TOYconomy offers a wide variety of toys to children of all ages and helps parents save money by allowing them to test any toy on the website, for a low fee, over a 30-day period. Parents have the option of returning the toy after the trial period, renting another toy, or purchasing the toy for a 30% off the retail price of the toy.

“This is one of the best ways of making sure that your child is interested in something before committing to it. We strive to help many parents successfully reduce the build-up of toys in their homes and save money in the process,” said Mrs. McAfee.

TOYconomy has developed a set of attractive monthly and one-time rental packages to suit every parent’s needs. 60-day rental plans begin at $24.99 or pay only $5 per product and keep it for up to 30 days. The website also offers a toy trade program that allows you to trade in your existing toys that are still in good condition for another toy you see on the website.

Every toy is thoroughly disinfected and sanitized upon return and before shipping. A child-friendly disinfectant solution is used and this includes cloth toys which are not only surfaced-washed but also steam cleaned.  TOYconomy does not use any chemicals that are unsafe for your children. To guarantee this, the website also offers a contact form that allows you to write in to inquire more about cleaning methods and products used.

“TOYconomy’s top priority is safety and cleanliness, because we are parents too,” comments Mrs. McAfee.

In addition, TOYconomy has also begun offering educational and resourceful information so you can ensure an edge when it comes to new toys for your precious ones. The website provides useful articles and milestones that you and your children will benefit from.
